Dignity
We treat every adult with respect and recognise their individuality, experience and choices.
About Lumejej Companions
We believe companionship should feel personal, respectful and centred around the life each person wants to live.

Meet the founder
Lumejej Companions was founded by Obukome Ogiemudia, a qualified social worker with extensive experience supporting adults and promoting their safety, dignity and independence.
Through her work, Obukome has seen how loneliness and social isolation can affect a person’s confidence, wellbeing and quality of life. She created Lumejej Companions to provide dependable, person-centred companionship that helps adults feel heard, valued and connected.
Her professional experience brings a strong understanding of safeguarding, boundaries and respectful support.
Why we are here
A conversation over a cup of tea. Company on a walk. A familiar voice on the telephone. Support to enjoy an appointment or outing with confidence.
These moments may feel simple, but they can bring reassurance, confidence and belonging. That is the difference Lumejej Companions exists to make.
Our values
We treat every adult with respect and recognise their individuality, experience and choices.
We create space for genuine conversation, shared moments and relationships that feel meaningful.
Each person guides how they spend their time and what good companionship looks like for them.
We work with clear boundaries, dependable communication and a strong commitment to safeguarding.
Independent and clearly defined
Lumejej Companions is a separate, professional companionship and befriending service. It does not provide social work, personal care, medication support, nursing or clinical services.
